York's YK chiller preventive maintenance kits are listed by module letter and build date, and each listing title states the scope. A kit titled YK Mod A, B&C is a different kit from one titled YK Mod D & E or YK Module G/H Post 8/2016. Match the kit to the chiller's nameplate, not to a similar part number.
What a York PM kit is
A York PM kit is a single part number that bundles the parts for a specific service task. Our listings describe York kits as bundling the filters, gaskets, O-rings and hardware a technician needs, so one order replaces a list of separate part numbers. The same listings say kits are model-specific and vintage-specific, and tell the buyer to check the model and date range in the kit description against the chiller nameplate.
The kit numbers share the 366-94952 family and differ only in the last digits, so a number remembered from the last service can be one digit away from a kit for a different module. Order from the title, not from memory.
The listings do not itemize what is in each kit. We do not guess at contents, and this article does not either. If you need the contents of a particular kit before you buy, contact us with the kit number and your chiller's model and serial number, and we will tell you what the listing and York's documentation show.
How to read a York PM kit title
The YK PM kits on our listings sit in the 366-94952 number family. The last three digits change from kit to kit. The title after the number carries the information that matters:
- The chiller family. YK, YT, YS and YR kits are listed separately. This article covers the YK kits in detail and points to the others below.
- The module letters. Titles use "Mod" or "Module" followed by letters, such as A, B&C, D & E, F, G & H, or G/H.
- The date or era. Two kit titles carry a date split at August 2016: one says pre-8/2016 and one says Post 8/2016. Another says "G & Later".
The module letter alone does not pick a kit. Module G appears in four YK kit titles in the table below, so the build date and the kit type decide the choice. If two titles seem to match your chiller, ask before ordering.
YK PM kits as listed, by title
The table gives each YK kit's scope exactly as its live listing title states it. Fitment is the title's claim only. Confirm against the nameplate.

Scope: The table covers YK kits as their listing titles state them. Contents, intervals and fitment beyond the title are not covered because the listings do not give them. Kits for other York chiller families
YT, YS and YR chillers use the same 366-94952 kit numbering on our listings, with their own titles:
- YT: 366-94952-009 (YT Module A-G), 366-94952-010 (YT Mod H), and two YT Mod J kits, 366-94952-011 and 366-94952-012.
- YS: 366-94952-018 (YS Mod D & E) and 366-94952-017 (YS-C).
- YR: 366-94952-020, titled (YR) PM Kit.
- 366-94952-008, titled #8 Oil Filter & PM Kit, with no chiller family named in the title.
All of these sit in the York chiller maintenance and repair kits collection. Search the full kit number there or in site search. The same rules apply as for YK: the title states the scope, and the nameplate decides.
How to pick the right kit
- Read the nameplate. Get the chiller model and serial number.
- Find the module letter and build date. If you cannot tell from the nameplate, send us the model and serial number and we will help read it against the listing.
- Compare to the kit titles. Look for a title that names your module letters and, where the title splits on August 2016, your side of that date.
- Check overlaps. Module G appears in more than one kit title. Pick the kit whose date wording matches your chiller, and ask if two titles still seem to match.
- Ask about contents when it matters. The listings do not itemize contents. If your job depends on a specific part being in the kit, confirm before you order.
- Pair the kit with York's inspection form. York's documentation index for the YK Mod H chiller lists 160.00-XT1, “Customer's Annual Report Centrifugal Seasonal Inspection Form.” Use it to record the visit.
When a kit is the right order, and when it is not
A kit makes sense when the job is the full service task the kit was built for. If you only need one item, such as a single oil filter element or an O-ring, the individual parts are listed separately. Browse the York chiller oil filter listings or search the part number. A full kit is the better order when the whole task is due.
What this article does not give
York's documentation sets the service interval for your chiller. This article does not give one, and neither do the kit listings. The only interval-style wording on a listing is the build date in the title, and that is a scope, not a schedule. For the interval, use York's service documents or the IOM for your unit.
Before you order
